What we are seeing

Microsoft announced on August 25, 2026 that roadmap content for Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Dataverse would join the AI at Work roadmap starting in September 2026. The company is retiring the twice-yearly release wave 1 and release wave 2 model in favor of continuous publishing, with items tracked through In Development, Rolling Out and Launched status. The roadmap supports filtering by product, CSV export, RSS subscriptions and search by feature ID. Microsoft also pointed to a Release Communications MCP Server that pulls roadmap data into customers' own AI tools. The change affects how Dynamics 365 Sales customers track upcoming capabilities that were previously published in release wave plans.
