Dynamics 365 Sales Research Agent adds sales operations insights and Fabric data
Microsoft's release plans list April 30, 2026 as the general availability date for a sales operations business function in Sales Research Agent and a Fabric lakehouse connector for AI-powered sales research.
Microsoft's release plans list general availability on April 30, 2026 for the sales operations business function in Sales Research Agent and for the Fabric Lakehouse connector. The business function targets sales leaders and operations teams who otherwise export and reconcile data across CRM, financial systems and spreadsheets. The connector brings revenue actuals, targets, budgets, invoicing and backlog stored in Fabric into the same AI-powered research experience as Dynamics 365 Sales data.
The details
- Both features entered public preview on February 16, 2026 and are listed as generally available on April 30, 2026.
- Operational data sources include Fabric lakehouse tables and custom data uploads such as spreadsheets.
- Predefined insights cover performance versus target, quota attainment and pipeline coverage.
- The connector works without manual exports or data replication, according to Microsoft.
