Dynamics 365 Sales makes smart grid, smart paste and Copilot charts generally available

Microsoft's release plan lists April 30, 2026 general availability for four Copilot features in Dynamics 365 Sales: natural-language smart grids, smart paste, the form fill assist toolbar and Visualize charts.

The 2026 release wave 1 plan for Dynamics 365 Sales lists general availability on April 30, 2026 for smart grid, smart paste, the form fill assist toolbar and Visualize with Copilot. Smart grid and Visualize entered preview on March 21, 2025, and smart paste and the form fill toolbar on July 28, 2025. Microsoft describes the four as part of Copilot's workflow efficiency and form fill assistance work, aimed at reducing manual navigation and data entry for sellers.

The details

  • Smart grid accepts queries such as opportunities with estimated revenue greater than 10,000 USD.
  • Smart paste works with the smart paste icon or Ctrl+V or Cmd+V when no field is selected.
  • The form fill assist toolbar supports .txt, .docx, .csv, .pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg and .bmp files.
  • Visualize offers nine chart types and can copy a chart as a PNG.
  • Visualize requires admins to enable a chart generation setting in the Power Platform admin center.

Context

These features sit alongside Microsoft's agent work in Dynamics 365 Sales, including the Sales Qualification Agent, Opportunity Research and Sales Research Agent. ForgeX Research has covered Microsoft's later 2026 announcements: Copilot Cowork plug-ins in June, partner MCP servers in July, Dynamics 365 Activate in September and 30 CRM skills in October.

Not disclosed

  • Whether these features require additional Copilot licensing
  • Languages supported for natural-language grid queries
  • Data retention for content uploaded to the form fill toolbar
