Zoom announced on July 2, 2026 that it had entered a definitive agreement to acquire Common Room, and the post states that the transaction closed in July. Common Room combines first-party CRM, product, marketing and engagement data with buying indicators to build person-level buyer profiles, and its RoomieAI agents handle account and contact research, personalization and prospecting. Zoom plans to use Common Room to add buyer intelligence to Zoom Revenue Accelerator. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The details
- Zoom says Common Room would show reps which accounts are in-market, who the buyers are and why to reach out before a call.
- RoomieAI agents surface inside tools revenue teams already use.
- Common Room customers named in the post include Atlassian, Anthropic, Autodesk, Notion, Okta and Snowflake.
- The post is written by Zoom Chief Strategy Officer Abhisht Arora, and Common Room CEO Linda Lian and her team joined Zoom.
Context
Zoom describes Revenue Accelerator as its revenue orchestration platform, and the acquisition adds pre-call account and buyer data to its conversation tools. Arora wrote that revenue teams "will now have a single, unified platform." Our later coverage records changes to the arrangement: on September 15, 2026 Zoom sold Common Room and added Engage and Forecast to Revenue Accelerator, and on September 16 Common Room outlined revenue OS products under Zoom ownership.
