Pipedrive announced on May 13, 2026 a Canada-based data centre in Montreal, its seventh global hosting region. The deployment runs in the AWS Canada (Central) region (ca-central-1) and enables Canadian data residency for local customers. Pipedrive says moving customer data from the United States to Canada reduces round-trip latency by about 15% and removes reliance on cross-border data routing. The company also established a formal Canadian business entity. Chief Product and Technology Officer Joe Futty said Canadian customers increasingly expect software to perform locally and align with domestic data management standards.
The details
- Hosting is in AWS ca-central-1 in Montreal.
- Pipedrive cites support for Quebec's Law 25 consent and cross-border transfer requirements.
- It also cites alignment with OSFI B-13 guidance for financial services.
- The company says local hosting removes a procurement barrier for SMBs bidding on contracts that require Canadian data residency.
- Pipedrive reports more than 100,000 SMB customers worldwide.
Context
The Montreal launch came a week after Pipedrive opened a Sydney data centre for Australian customers on May 6, 2026, which the release references as its recent expansion into Australia. Two weeks later Pipedrive added Projects, automation monitoring and WhatsApp to its CRM. Later items in our coverage include a native MCP server in June, the Outfunnel acquisition in August and Nova meeting intelligence in September.
