Pipedrive released a native MCP server that lets ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP tools read and update live CRM data within user permissions.

On June 30, 2026, Pipedrive announced its native Model Context Protocol server, which connects Pipedrive with AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and other tools that support custom MCP connections. The company says assistants can work with live CRM data in real time while respecting existing user permissions, and every action is recorded in Pipedrive's change logs. Through the server, users can search deals, contacts, organizations and leads in natural language, create and update records, convert leads to deals, manage activities, generate pipeline analysis, turn meeting notes into CRM records and automate follow-up workflows. Pipedrive MCP is available on all Pipedrive plans.

The details

  • The server is built and maintained by Pipedrive and requires no coding.
  • Setup uses a secure OAuth connection and no developer resources, according to the company.
  • Actions follow the user's existing permissions and are logged in Pipedrive's change logs.
  • Pipedrive MCP is available to customers on all plans.
  • Chief Product and Technology Officer Joe Futty and Bernd Auer, a Pipedrive consultant at PD Experts, are quoted.

Context

The launch came four weeks after Pipedrive joined the launch of OpenAI's Codex sales plugin on June 4, 2026. On August 18 Pipedrive's MCP Connector was listed in Claude's connector marketplace, when the company reported that more than 6% of paying customers had connected in the first month. Pipedrive also released its CRM Trends Report on August 4 and acquired Outfunnel on August 5.

Not disclosed
