Pipedrive app becomes available in ChatGPT

Pipedrive customers can use a new app in ChatGPT to query CRM data, summarize leads and draft sales content.

On December 17, 2025, Pipedrive announced that it is available as an app in ChatGPT, an integration the company says was developed by OpenAI. The app lets sales professionals work with their Pipedrive data inside ChatGPT to surface insights, summarize lead activity and draft content such as lead summaries and emails. Enabling it requires an OpenAI Business, Enterprise, Edu or Pro plan. Once a workspace admin sets it up in ChatGPT, it can be made available to all Pipedrive users regardless of their Pipedrive plan, and users link their accounts so ChatGPT can regularly sync the data they can access.

The details

  • Requires an OpenAI Business, Enterprise, Edu or Pro plan.
  • Available to Pipedrive users on any Pipedrive plan once a ChatGPT workspace admin enables it.
  • ChatGPT regularly syncs the Pipedrive data each linked user has permission to access.
  • Pipedrive says the release honors user access permissions, allows disconnection and follows OpenAI's data retention policies.
  • The app is not available for ChatGPT users under EU data residency.

Context

This is the earliest Pipedrive story in our coverage. It was followed in 2026 by Pipedrive's participation in the launch of OpenAI's Codex sales plugin (June 4), a native MCP server for AI assistants (June 30) and the Pipedrive MCP Connector in Claude's connector marketplace (August 18). The ChatGPT app was the first of these routes for reaching Pipedrive CRM data from an outside AI assistant.

Not disclosed

  • Sync frequency
  • Whether the app can write changes back to Pipedrive
  • Timeline for availability under EU data residency
