Metadata adds LinkedIn Buyer Groups targeting and opportunity metrics for keywords
Metadata's April 2, 2026 release adds LinkedIn Buyer Groups as a targeting criterion, opportunity columns in the Keywords table, Brand Awareness optimization goals and business name and logo extensions for search ads.
Metadata.io released four features on April 2, 2026. LinkedIn targeting gains Buyer Groups, with an alert when users try to combine them using AND with criteria that do not support it. Search reporting gains opportunity metrics in the Keywords table that link to the Opportunities table for deeper analysis. LinkedIn Brand Awareness campaigns gain a choice of bidding optimization goal based on ad type and bidding strategy. Search ad extensions expand to business names, logos and images for Google and Microsoft. A fix addresses MQL sync failures caused by date formatting.
The details
- Up to three LinkedIn buyer group categories can be selected per target group.
- New Keywords columns: Influenced Opps, Influenced Opps Amount, Cost Per Influenced Opp, Triggered Opps, Triggered Opps Amount and Cost Per Triggered Opp.
- Optimization goals can be changed on launched campaigns through the Experiments table.
- Extensions include business name, business logo and image types with preview before activation.
Context
The April 2 release was followed by an April 9 release adding exclude criteria for target groups and an April 23 release extending the Bid Agent and MCP server. Business logo extensions began syncing to Google Ads Search in the September 24, 2026 release, which ForgeX Research has covered along with Metadata's July 2 X campaign update.
