On October 14, 2026, Attio published an announcement introducing four capabilities: SQL Engine, Data Connectors, Agent Scale and Activities. The company says they build on its core platform to create what it calls the architecture for agentic revenue, a hybrid design for people and AI agents. The SQL Engine answers questions across records in a single query and can trigger actions in Workflows. Data Connectors give external analytics tools live access to CRM data. Agent Scale covers running large numbers of agents across large record volumes. Activities adds structured, custom interaction data and is currently in beta.

The details

  • SQL-powered questions in Ask Attio are available on all plans, according to the company.
  • SQL access through the REST API, MCP and Workflows is available on Enterprise plans.
  • Data Connectors provide a live, Postgres-compatible endpoint with read-only, dedicated credentials that workspace admins can disable or regenerate; they are available on Enterprise.
  • Attio names Hex, Omni, Looker, Metabase and dbt as tools that can connect using PostgreSQL credentials.
  • Attio says the platform is engineered to support hundreds of millions of records and thousands of agents operating under the same permissions and access controls.
  • Activities lets teams define custom schemas for interactions such as support conversations, social DMs and product events, and is in beta.

Context

The release follows a series of AI and automation updates from Attio in 2026. The company released an MCP server for AI clients in February, upgraded its web research agent in March, rebuilt Workflows around AI agents and natural-language setup in June, and added workflow history and an agent log in September. The SQL Engine is also exposed through the MCP server and Workflows introduced in those earlier releases.

Not disclosed

  • Pricing for the Enterprise plan or any added cost for SQL access and Data Connectors.
  • Plan availability and general availability timing for Agent Scale and for Activities after beta.
  • Specific limits on query volume, concurrent agents or connector usage.
  • Named customers using the new capabilities.
