WRITER releases MCP access, Playbook approvals and a DLP guardrail
WRITER's October 2026 product roundup adds a WRITER MCP for running Playbooks from MCP-compatible clients, human approval checkpoints in Playbooks, a skill security scanner, a data loss prevention guardrail and live-data dashboards.
WRITER's October 27, 2026 roundup lists several governance and agent updates. The WRITER MCP lets users run Playbooks, retrieve work and access WRITER Meet notes from any MCP-compatible client, with existing WRITER seats and permissions applied. Playbook approvals add human review steps so work proceeds only after sign-off, and admin controls govern who creates and publishes Playbooks. A skill security scanner and a DLP guardrail address risky instructions and sensitive data. Dashboards and microsites gain live data, themes and targeted agent edits, and users can steer or queue WRITER Agent requests mid-task.
The details
- WRITER MCP runs Playbooks, fetches work and pulls WRITER Meet notes from MCP-compatible clients
- Enterprise Brain context is slated to come to WRITER MCP next month, per the post
