WRITER published its April 2026 product roundup on April 30, 2026. It added Playbook triggers from Gong, Google Calendar, SharePoint and Google Drive that start workflows automatically when a call completes, a meeting approaches or ends, or a file lands in a folder. These join Gmail, Slack and webhook triggers released earlier in 2026. WRITER also added Connectors for Adobe Experience Manager and Google Drive, so Playbooks can create pages, update content fragments and publish in AEM. For IT teams, the release added Connector Profiles, WRITER Agent Profiles, AI Studio Observability, a Datadog Logs plugin and bring-your-own encryption keys.

The details

  • Google Calendar triggers cover new event, event starts in, event ends and event cancelled.
  • SharePoint triggers cover new file, folder, list and list item, and Drive triggers cover new file and new folder.
  • Connector Profiles let admins set multiple configurations of one connector with different scopes per team.
  • AI Studio now logs request and response content, model, tools called, guardrails, status, latency and errors, and the Datadog plugin forwards these with token usage and per-request cost.
  • Enterprise customers on multi-tenant WRITER can hold their own keys from AWS, Azure or GCP KMS.

Context

The roundup extends WRITER Agent with Playbooks, Routines and Connectors from November 2025 and the agent Skills creator and 200-Skill library from March 2026. Five days later WRITER launched an AI CMO Council for enterprise marketing leaders. In our later coverage, WRITER released the Palmyra X6 model and agent harness upgrades in August and an Enterprise Brain context layer in September.
