Webflow announced on April 9, 2026 that all Webflow sites had been migrated to its next-gen CMS architecture, following an Enterprise rollout in January. The company says every customer can now use the expanded limits immediately. Pages can hold up to 40 Collection lists, up to 10 nested lists with 100 items per nested list, and CMS data nested up to three levels deep, up from one. Webflow also says publish, restore and backup operations are faster and more reliable at scale. It describes the change as a way to build pages with more related content that give answer engines structured context.
The details
- Up to 40 Collection lists per page, which Webflow describes as double the previous limit.
- Up to 10 nested Collection lists per page and 100 items per nested list.
- Multi-level nesting up to three layers deep, up from one.
- Publish, restore and backup operations are described as more performant and reliable at scale.
- Webflow cites use cases such as case study templates, product pages and directory or catalog pages.
Context
The migration completes a rollout that began with Enterprise customers in January 2026. It came before a run of Webflow updates in our coverage, including a pricing overhaul with a new Team plan (May 13, 2026), AEO analytics and agents for Enterprise (May 21, 2026), MCP 2.0 with CMS support (July 21, 2026) and the Source, Campaigns and Assets launches at Webflow Conf (September 2, 2026).
