Webflow adds AI-powered SEO and AEO audits with generated alt text and schema

Webflow's October 29, 2025 update expands its Audit panel to sitewide and page-level SEO and AEO checks and lets Webflow AI generate alt text, meta titles, descriptions and schema markup for review before publishing.

On October 29, 2025, Webflow launched AI-powered SEO and AEO capabilities, which it showed during its Webflow Conf 2025 keynote. The release extends the Audit panel from limited checks to sitewide and page-level audits that flag missing alt text, metadata and schema. Webflow AI can then generate fixes for those gaps. The company says the goal is to optimize sites for both search engines and AI systems from one place, and that users stay in control by reviewing generated changes before they publish.

The details

  • The Audit panel supports sitewide and page-level checks.
  • Audits cover missing alt text in the asset library and missing meta titles, descriptions and schema on static and Collection pages.
  • Webflow AI generates alt text, meta titles, meta descriptions and schema markup.
  • Available on accounts with a paid site or paid workspace plan.
  • Per-site governance of Webflow AI features is reserved for Enterprise customers.

Context

This release preceded a series of Webflow AEO moves. Webflow announced AEO analytics for Enterprise in April 2026, made it available on May 21, 2026, and added AEO content optimization agents for Enterprise on July 28, 2026. Two weeks after this release, on November 12, 2025, Webflow launched App Gen in public beta.

Not disclosed

  • Whether AI-generated SEO fixes consume AI credits.
  • Limits on the number of pages audited or fixed at once.
  • Which schema types Webflow AI can generate.
