Webflow adds AEO content optimization agents for Enterprise

Webflow released AEO agents that recommend content opportunities, generate briefs and draft articles as CMS items. They are available to Enterprise customers with the Analyze add-on.

Webflow released AEO content optimization agents on July 28, 2026. According to the update, the agents work in three steps: they surface prioritized content opportunities from AEO analytics data, including gaps where competitors are cited by answer engines and the customer is not; they turn a recommended topic into a structured content brief; and they generate a full article draft as a new CMS item ready for review. Webflow says the agents are built into the platform, read a site's structure and existing content directly and use business context the customer provides. This first set of content agents is available to all Enterprise customers with the Analyze add-on.

The details

  • Recommendations draw on Webflow's AEO analytics data and include competitor citation gaps.
  • Brief generation produces a structured content brief from a recommended topic.
  • Draft creation writes a full article draft as a new CMS item for review.
  • Setup requires prompt tracking for target topics and competitor information entered under Organization info in Settings.
  • Recommendations appear in the Insights tab under AEO recommendations, where users can review the reasoning, edit, accept and publish in place.
  • Access is limited to Enterprise customers with the Analyze add-on.

Context

The content agents extend the AEO analytics and technical AEO agents that Webflow made available to Enterprise customers on May 21, 2026. They arrived one week after Webflow released MCP 2.0 with design system, CMS and governance support on July 21, and four weeks after it launched an app inside ChatGPT. In September Webflow unveiled Source, Campaigns and Assets at Webflow Conf 2026.
