Qualified announced on October 22, 2026 that customers can give Piper, its AI SDR agent, a custom voice trained from real recordings. The feature is set up in Agent Studio. The person whose voice is used records a short consent clip and a voice sample of about 30 seconds, and after processing the voice appears in the voice dropdown of the agent profile. Qualified says the feature is available now to all customers using voice or video conversations.
The details
- Setup requires two recordings from the speaker: a consent recording and a voice sample of roughly 30 seconds.
- The trained voice reproduces the tone, pace and accent of the sample and cannot be edited after it is created.
- Qualified recommends recording in a quiet room with the microphone held 7 to 8 inches away.
- The company describes custom voices as the audio counterpart to custom personas, which give the agent a brand-matched face.
- A how-to article titled Creating custom voices is published in Qualified University.
