Oracle Eloqua 26B adds admin controls for generative AI features
Eloqua 26B introduces a Use Generative AI features action permission so admins can limit GenAI access to specific user groups.
Oracle's What's New documentation for Eloqua update 26B, dated April 29, 2026, introduces the first user access controls for generative AI in Eloqua. Admins manage access through a new action permission, Use Generative AI features, under a new permission category called Advanced Intelligence, applied through security groups. Oracle says the permission serves as a single control point for all GenAI features in Eloqua, supporting cases such as limiting use to content specialists or piloting with a small group before wider rollout. No setup is needed to receive the permission, and Oracle says enforcement will occur in a later release, to be announced in advance.
The details
- By default the permission is enabled for Customer Administrator, Advanced Users (Marketing), Basic Users (Marketing) and Active Users (Sales) groups.
- It is disabled by default for all other security groups, and admins can change any group's setting.
- Advanced Intelligence features must be enabled by contacting Oracle Support and are off by default.
- Oracle says these features are provided to all Eloqua customers without additional fees.
Context
This permission shipped in the same 26B update as conversational subject line generation, a generative AI feature it would govern, and the Redwood navigation refresh. It follows the January 26A update with a Program Template Manager in Redwood. Our coverage of the July 26C update includes a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales app in controlled availability and enhanced email auto-click detection.
