Oracle Eloqua 26A adds Salesforce custom object writes and protected email templates

Oracle's Eloqua 26A release notes, published January 16, 2026, let the Salesforce app write to Salesforce custom objects, add protected regions in Redwood email templates, align lead scoring with stored activity data and add bulk permission imports.

Oracle published What's New documentation for Eloqua 26A on January 16, 2026. Beyond the Redwood Program Template Manager, the release changes the Salesforce integration, email template governance, lead scoring inputs, permissions administration and contact data behavior. Oracle says the lead scoring change aligns scoring with segmentation and the APIs, which already return only data that has reached the activity table. Template management also adds a clear selection highlight in the visual editor and a collapsible subject line area. Developer changes include Bulk API STATUS operator support for email groups and a new app developer endpoint to retrieve active executions.

The details

  • Salesforce app marketing activities can update Salesforce custom object records.
  • Salesforce related object attributes can serve as unique identifiers in imports.
  • Upsert actions in CDO programs gain user-defined record order in batch, in controlled availability.
  • Protected template restrictions apply only in the Redwood experience.
  • The Import Asset Permissions action does not remove existing permissions from the target group.
  • Fatigue Analysis requires Eloqua's Classic AI features, enabled by service request.

Context

The 26A release followed 25D, which introduced contact created and modified tracking in controlled availability, and preceded the 26B release in April 2026 that added Redwood navigation and generative AI controls. Existing coverage of 26A is limited to the Program Template Manager published January 16, 2026. Oracle's 26A document was published January 16, 2026, the same date as the Program Template Manager coverage.

Not disclosed

  • Whether existing lead scores are recalculated after the scoring data change
