LinkedIn expands Boost to personal posts, Page posts, events and mobile

LinkedIn's March 31, 2026 product updates expand Boost, which turns existing posts into ads without a full campaign. It now covers personal posts, Page posts and LinkedIn Events, and can be managed from mobile.

LinkedIn's March 31, 2026 product updates group five Boost items. Together they extend Boost, its simplified way to promote existing content, to individual members' posts, LinkedIn Page posts and LinkedIn Events, and to the mobile app. LinkedIn says no ad expertise is required for event boosting. The page links each item to help or product pages and does not give separate launch dates within the quarter. For Page Boost, users select an objective, define an audience, and set a budget and schedule.

The details

  • Boost converts an existing post, Page update or event into a feed ad without a full campaign.
  • Personal posts can be boosted to reach professionals outside a member's network.
  • Page Boost: LinkedIn says Pages using Boost grew followers 2x faster than similar non-boosted Pages.
  • Events can be boosted before, during and after they take place.
  • Mobile Boosting supports launching and managing boosts on mobile.

Context

GTM Tech News covered LinkedIn's July 2026 launch of Collaborative Posts for members and Company Pages, and LinkedIn reported growth in creator-led ads in its October 2026 business highlights. The March 2026 Boost expansion gives members, Pages and event organizers a lighter route to paid promotion than Campaign Manager. The page does not say when each Boost option first became available.
