Cognism moves ISO 27001 and 27701 certification to a UKAS-accredited body

Cognism completed a surveillance audit under ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 27701. Its certification is now issued by British Assessment Bureau, a UKAS-accredited body.

Cognism announced that it completed its first surveillance audit against ISO/IEC 27001:2022, covering its information security management system, and ISO 27701, covering its privacy information management system. The company says it has held both certifications for several years and the standards have not changed. What is new, according to the post, is that certification is now issued by British Assessment Bureau, part of Amtivo Group, a certification body accredited by UKAS, the UK's national accreditation body. Cognism notes that UKAS accreditation applies to the certification body and not to Cognism directly.

The details

  • Certificate number 273578 for Cognism Ltd, latest issued August 28, 2026 and expiring September 1, 2028.
  • Scope covers information security and privacy risk across Cognism's systems, processes and personnel for its sales intelligence platforms and core business operations.
  • Certification is maintained through annual surveillance audits, with the next review planned for 2027.
  • Customers and prospects can view or request both certificates through the Cognism Trust Centre.

Context

This is the second Cognism compliance item in our coverage in 2026, following completion of its SOC 2 Type II audit in February. The ISO standards and scope are unchanged; only the certifying body differs. Cognism later made CRM Enrichment generally available with an MCP connection on October 13, 2026, after launching CRM Enrichment for Salesforce in July.

Not disclosed

  • Any nonconformities found in the audit
  • Whether subprocessors are within certification scope
