Apollo launches beta app in ChatGPT built on its MCP server
The Apollo app in ChatGPT lets users search people and companies, enrich records, add contacts to sequences and analyze sequence results, including on free teams with a corporate domain.
Apollo launched a beta app in ChatGPT on April 29, 2026, powered by its Model Context Protocol server. Users can search for people and companies, create and enrich contacts and accounts, add contacts to sequences and analyze sequence performance within a ChatGPT conversation. The app is available now to new and existing Apollo customers, including free teams with a corporate domain, through the ChatGPT app directory.
The details
- Example prompts include searching for fintech founders in New York and North American SaaS companies with 200 to 1,000 employees.
- Users can verify email addresses and update contact and account records from the chat.
- Performance analysis covers questions such as which sequences had the highest reply rate over six months.
- Security uses OAuth 2.0, scoped permissions aligned with existing Apollo roles, and plan-based limits and rate controls.
- Connection runs through OAuth, so no API keys are required.
- Apollo names SDRs, account executives and revenue leaders as target users.
Context
CEO Matt Curl is quoted saying the app brings inbound and outbound execution to where teams work. The ChatGPT app was the first of several Apollo MCP distribution moves in our coverage: Apollo launched a connector for Perplexity Computer on June 3, 2026, and was named a flagship data partner for Salesforce's Hunter outbound agent on September 15. On September 30 it launched an Intelligence Layer and previewed Builder Studio and Messaging OS. Apollo also hired Phil Moon as CFO in May and Mark Sieglock as chief product officer in August.
