Backstory announced on September 22, 2026 that the Pod team is joining the company, in a post by CEO Jason Ambrose. Pod built an intelligence layer for revenue teams that reads deal sentiment, recommends which stakeholders to engage and surfaces patterns behind lost deals, along with configurable, human-in-the-loop agents for meeting prep, proof-of-concept readiness, deal review and buying committee assessment. The post names Pod founder and CEO Patrick Monnot, four engineers and one go-to-market lead as joining Backstory's CX team. Backstory says the team will focus on making its platform more accessible to humans and agents.
The details
