Outreach September 2026 release adds Omni approval step and learned user preferences
Outreach's September 2026 release notes, shipping September 10 to 24, 2026, add a confirmation step before Omni changes CRM records, durable per-user preferences for Omni, and interactive Omni actions in the mobile apps.
Outreach published release notes for its September 2026 release, shipping from September 10 to September 24, 2026. Most items concern Omni. A human-in-the-loop step now requires users to approve or cancel a confirmation widget before Omni changes a Prospect, Account or Opportunity record. Omni also stores stable user preferences and applies them across later conversations. The mobile apps add surveys and record creation inside Omni. Other updates cover Sequential Dialing, the prospect side panel and Kaia buyer and seller tagging.
The details
- Omni shows a preview of the change when it has the data it needs, or a short survey form when it needs more input, before changing records.
- The send icon becomes a stop icon while Omni works, and cancelled input is restored to the composer.
- Stored preferences cover communication style, expertise level, preferred tools and output format and are visible only to the user; the company says sensitive categories are excluded.
- Admins can disable extracted user preferences at the org level.
- Kaia buyer and seller tagging now supports internal employees who do not hold a Kaia license.
Context
Outreach introduced Omni in its April 2026 release alongside Agent Studio and added a full-screen Omni view and the AI Control Hub in August 2026. In the same month as this release, the company said on September 9, 2026 that AI credit consumption grew 12x in its fiscal second quarter, and on September 15, 2026 it became available for private offers on Salesforce AgentExchange.
