Outreach introduces an AI Maturity Model for revenue teams
Outreach published a four-stage AI Maturity Model to help revenue organizations benchmark how they use AI across workflows.
On July 15, 2026, Outreach introduced its AI Maturity Model, a framework for revenue organizations to measure how they use AI across workflows and identify what is needed to reach the next stage. The model places each organization on a four-stage path: Traditional, Connected, Consolidated and AI-Efficient, the last being the stage where, in Outreach's description, AI agents carry out work across the full revenue motion with people directing and reviewing it. Outreach says the model draws on more than a decade of work with thousands of revenue organizations. Any team can take a short assessment on the Outreach website, while customers get the full model through their customer success team.
The details
- The model scores organizations on five dimensions: workflow standardization, data trust, inspection and accountability, cross-team alignment and AI readiness.
- Each dimension is paired with a playbook describing operational changes needed to move up a stage.
- Outreach customers receive the full model, complete assessment and stage-by-stage playbooks through their customer success team.
- Heather Dahmer, global head of Demand Generation and Sales Activation at SoftwareOne, is quoted on using the model to build shared vocabulary with leadership.
- Cathlyn Lang, SVP of Global Customer Success and Professional Services at Outreach, is quoted in the release.
Context
This framework followed Outreach's June product announcements, an MCP client and Agentic Ecosystem marketplace on June 2 and an app in ChatGPT and MCP server for Codex on June 3. Its August release added AI Control Hub for governing AI features, and on September 9 Outreach reported 12x growth in AI credit consumption in its fiscal second quarter.
