Outreach adds AI Control Hub and full-screen Omni in August release
Outreach's August 2026 release added an AI Control Hub for admin governance of AI features, full-screen Omni and Omni on mobile.
Outreach published its August 2026 product release notes, describing features shipping to customers between August 13 and September 1, 2026. The headline governance addition is AI Control Hub, which gives admins org-level control to turn individual AI features on or off, enforces access according to an organization's licensing entitlements and lets admins choose whether new AI features launch on or off by default. The release also adds a full-screen mode for the Omni assistant with a dedicated URL for each conversation, Omni and opportunity views in the Android and iOS apps, several Deal Agent updates and 11 new tools for the Outreach MCP server.
The details
- Full-screen Omni keeps left navigation visible, opens referenced records in a slide-out and preserves scroll position when switching to the side panel.
- The mobile apps add MCP connector and knowledge source management in Omni, a read-only Opportunity Detail Page and SMS task support.
- Deal Agent adds Append and Prepend field update options, Microsoft Teams notifications, notifications to one connected public Slack channel per opportunity and a backfill of insights from the last 30, 45, 60 or 90 days of Kaia calls.
- Org-level Deal Agent backfill costs 1 Amplify credit per meeting, while field-level backfill is not charged.
- Admins can add a Description for AI to custom fields on Prospects, Accounts, Opportunities, Products and Purchases, written manually or imported from a mapped Salesforce field.
- The Outreach MCP server adds 11 tools covering task management, team context, org and job role metadata, Kaia meeting access and sequences.
Context
This is the first Outreach product release in our coverage since June. It builds on the MCP work Outreach announced in June, when it added an MCP client and Agentic Ecosystem marketplace on June 2 and an app in ChatGPT and an MCP server for Codex on June 3. In September the company reported 12x growth in AI credit consumption for its fiscal second quarter.
