Salesforce launches Agentforce Help Agent with pay-per-resolution pricing

Salesforce introduced Agentforce Help Agent, a prepackaged service agent for voice, web, portal and messaging. Customers pay only when it resolves an issue on its own, with GA set for July 2026.

On June 25, 2026, Salesforce announced Agentforce Help Agent, a prepackaged autonomous service agent built on the Agentforce 360 Platform with guided setup. The agent grounds itself on a company's Salesforce Knowledge, accepts additional files or web URLs for crawling and can be turned on across voice, web, portal and messaging from a single screen. Out of the box it answers questions and manages cases, and actions such as order management, appointment scheduling and account management can be added. Pricing is per resolution: Salesforce charges only when the agent resolves an issue autonomously, with no charge if the customer gives negative feedback or asks for a human. General availability was set for July 2026.

The details

  • Agentforce Help Agent, the redesigned Agentforce Customer Service Portal and pay-per-resolution pricing were all slated for general availability in July 2026.
  • Data 360 and Agentforce usage are unmetered during the agent interaction, according to Salesforce.
  • The Customer Service Portal is redesigned around a single conversation bar with dynamic cards that let customers complete tasks in the conversation.
  • A preview pane in setup lets teams test responses before deployment.
  • Salesforce says Agentforce has handled 4.3 million inquiries on help.salesforce.com and resolved 70% of them.
  • PenFed Credit Union, Fisher & Paykel and PowerSchool are quoted as customers.

Context

The announcement noted Salesforce's then-pending agreement to acquire Fin, a customer agent platform for small and medium-sized businesses, which our coverage shows closed on September 10, 2026. In September Salesforce also introduced Core, Advanced and Max editions with bundled Agentforce, and at Dreamforce it detailed further agent releases including Piper and Hunter.
