Salesforce introduced Headless 360 on April 15, 2026, describing it as the capabilities agents need most, exposed as an API, MCP tool or CLI command so people and agents can work outside the Salesforce interface. The launch includes more than 60 new MCP tools and more than 30 preconfigured coding skills that give coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Windsurf live access to an org's data, workflows and business logic. A new Agentforce Experience Layer renders interactive components in Slack, mobile, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Teams and other MCP app clients. Salesforce said the more than 100 new tools and skills were available at announcement.
The details
- Agentforce Vibes 2.0 adds org awareness and multi-model support including Claude Sonnet and GPT-5, and a DevOps Center MCP extends access into CI/CD pipelines.
- Agent control tools include Testing Center, Custom Scoring Evals, Agent Script, Observability and Session Tracing, A/B Testing and Agent Fabric for multi-vendor governance.
- Data 360 is exposed as an API, MCP tool and CLI command.
- AgentExchange lists 10,000 Salesforce apps, more than 2,600 Slack apps and more than 1,000 Agentforce agents, tools and MCP servers, and a new $50 million Builders Fund was announced.
- Salesforce says custom AI agents on Slack have grown 300% since January.
Context
Headless 360 is the earliest Salesforce item in this batch and became a reference point for later releases. In June, Salesforce described MCP-based campaign management in Slack as Headless 360 in action and tied its Contentful acquisition to it. In September our coverage logged AIforce, which runs the platform inside Claude, Slack and Lightning, and new editions with bundled Agentforce, followed by acquisitions including Listen Labs, Loops and Braze.
