Salesforce in Claude beta can now create and update Salesforce records
Salesforce's Winter '27 release notes say Salesforce in Claude, in beta, can create and update records from Claude starting the week of October 12, 2026, with Lightning validation rules and an MCP approval setting.
Salesforce added a release note the week of October 12, 2026, and updated it the week of October 19, describing write access for Salesforce in Claude. Several skills now create or update records, including assigning contacts and leads to an agent, building account plans, logging activity, scheduling meetings, summarizing call transcripts and updating opportunities. Claude matches requests to the appropriate skill. Other skills remain read-only or draft-only. An earlier Winter '27 note, added the week of September 14, 2026, introduced access to Salesforce context in Claude in beta.
