On June 16, 2026, at the Databricks Data + AI Summit, Salesforce announced an expanded partnership with Databricks focused on connecting enterprise data with the permissions, approvals and workflows AI agents need to act. Building on the existing zero-copy integration between Salesforce Data 360 and Databricks Unity Catalog, the companies are adding Federated Authentication, with planned identity mapping, governance interoperability and metadata-aware access controls. New bidirectional Federated Search lets Agentforce agents search Databricks and Databricks users search Salesforce. The announcement also covers MuleSoft Agent Scanners for Databricks in Agent Fabric and new Slack integrations for Databricks Genie, the Databricks Q&A App and the Databricks Security App.

The details

  • MuleSoft Agent Scanner for Databricks and foundational Data 360 zero-copy capabilities were generally available at announcement.
  • The Slack Genie App was in public preview, with general availability planned for the second half of 2026.
  • Agentic search, MCP-driven integrations and further Data 360 enhancements are slated for the second half of 2026 and beyond.
  • The companies are exploring how Agentforce agents could be surfaced through Databricks Unity AI Gateway.
  • Pacers Sports and Entertainment and FedEx are quoted as customers.
  • Salesforce was named Databricks' ISV Business App Partner of the Year at Data + AI Summit 2026.
