Salesforce and Anthropic announce Claudeforce partnership

Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce on August 26, 2026, an expanded partnership connecting Claude to Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, actions and governance controls. It launched with Salesforce in Claude, a plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills that let sellers review live revenue data, automate pipeline updates and take governed actions from inside Claude. An admin connects it once and permissions are managed centrally. At announcement it was open to select pilot customers, with an open beta expected in September 2026.

• Sales skill examples include meeting prep, deal health review and pipeline review, with more skills to launch from late 2026.
• During onboarding Claude reads a seller's Salesforce, Slack and connected data to build a tailored dashboard.
• Claude is available in Agentforce as a reasoning model for the Atlas Reasoning Engine and runs inside the Salesforce Trust Boundary through Amazon Bedrock.
• Claude is the default model for Slack AI, Slackbot, Headless 360 and Agentforce Coworker.
• Salesforce will make Claude Code and Claude Enterprise available to all its developers and knowledge workers.

Context

The announcement came the same day Salesforce reported Q2 fiscal 2027 results, including Agentforce ARR above $1.5 billion. Three weeks later at Dreamforce, Salesforce folded Claudeforce into AIforce alongside Slackforce and Agentforce Coworker and moved Salesforce in Claude into beta for all customers.
