Salesforce announced it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Listen Labs, an AI customer research and human simulation platform. According to the announcement, Listen Labs agents design studies, recruit participants, conduct in-depth research and synthesize findings in one platform, which the company says shortens research from months to days. Its digital twins generate simulated customer responses to a product, marketing message or idea before launch. Salesforce says the acquisition will expand its customer and user understanding capabilities, complementing Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud and its AI portfolio. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Salesforce's fiscal 2027, subject to regulatory clearance.
The details
- Listen Labs agents can draw on a network of more than 50 million participants.
- Interviews run around the clock in more than 120 languages.
- Digital twins are described as AI simulations grounded in real customer behavior.
- Aman Naimat, president of AI Labs at Salesforce, and Alfred Wahlforss, Listen Labs CEO and co-founder, are quoted.
- Closing is subject to customary conditions, including required regulatory clearance.
