RainFocus announced RainFocus Nexus on January 20, 2026 during the keynote at its INSIGHT event. The company describes Nexus as an orchestration and context layer on its event platform that lets specialized AI agents act as teammates to event marketers, planners and sales reps, with a human-in-the-loop approach for governance. RainFocus says Nexus is built on open standards including the Model Context Protocol and agent-to-agent communication, and is cloud-agnostic so customers can bring their own infrastructure. The Configuration Agent and Concierge Agent are available to select clients now, while Growth, On-Site and Integration agents are planned. RainFocus also announced a Sales Module, RainFocus Webinars and Meetings at INSIGHT.

The details

  • Configuration Agent automates setup such as registration and branding; RainFocus says it cuts time-to-launch by up to 50 percent.
  • Concierge Agent handles attendee scheduling, wayfinding and recommendations.
  • Growth, On-Site and Integration agents are planned through 2026 and 2027.
  • Nexus draws on RainFocus Modules (Attendee, Content, Exhibitor, On-Site, Insight, Sales) and the Global Attendee Profile.
  • CEO JR Sherman, CMO Ashleigh Cook, SVP Brian Gates and VP Marius Milcher are quoted.

Context

This is the third RainFocus item in our coverage, after the Base Module for small events and a 2026 B2B marketing forecast in December 2025. Later items include SOC 2 Type II compliance in April, a Base Webinar upgrade in June, MCP Profiles connecting AI agents to live event data in July, Adobe Experience Manager connectors, the Sales Module launch on July 30 and a mid-year report in September.
