HubSpot connector for ChatGPT can now update CRM records and read engagements

HubSpot said on February 26, 2026 that its connector for ChatGPT can create and update CRM records and log activities, and can access products, line items, invoices, orders, carts, segments and engagement history.

HubSpot's February 26, 2026 changelog entry describes an updated HubSpot app for ChatGPT. The update adds CRM write actions, so users can create and update records and log activities through ChatGPT, and widens read access to commerce objects, segments and engagement history. HubSpot says the connector respects HubSpot user permissions. Getting the new capabilities requires a ChatGPT workspace admin to enable the updated app, and a HubSpot Super Admin or user with App Marketplace permissions to reconnect with the updated permissions.

The details

  • Write actions include creating contacts and deals, updating records and logging notes or tasks.
  • Newly readable objects: products, line items, invoices, orders, carts and segments.
  • Engagement history covers calls, emails, meetings, tasks and notes.
  • Bulk create and update is limited to 10 records per request.
  • Writes are attributed in the HubSpot audit log to the user and the ChatGPT connector.

Context

HubSpot gave its Claude connector equivalent write access in public beta in November 2025. GTM Tech News later covered HubSpot and OpenAI expanding their partnership with a ChatGPT Ads integration on September 16, 2026. HubSpot's remote MCP server, which reached general availability in April 2026, offers similar read and write access to any MCP-compatible tool.

Not disclosed

  • Whether write access is labeled beta or generally available for ChatGPT
  • Rate limits beyond the bulk cap
  • Which ChatGPT plans support the connector
