HubSpot announced in late October 2025 that it had entered into an agreement to acquire XFunnel, which it describes as one of the first comprehensive platforms that helps businesses monitor, experiment with and strengthen their presence across large language models through answer engine optimization (AEO). HubSpot says XFunnel will be integrated natively into its marketing products, giving marketers insight into how their brand appears across AI tools and steps to improve visibility. The company says the deal builds on AEO capabilities already in Marketing Hub, such as AEO strategy and AEO referrals, and on its Loop Marketing playbook.
