Factors.ai launches Scout Sandbox and role-based access for Scout and Agents

On June 17, 2026, Factors.ai made Scout Sandbox live for all Scout users, raising analysis capacity from about 1,000 to 250,000 rows, and added role-based access control for Scout Chat and Scout Agents.

Two entries in Factors.ai's release notes on June 17, 2026 concern Scout, the company's AI assistant and agent layer. The first makes Scout Sandbox available to all Scout users. The sandbox lets Scout run code on datasets directly, and the company says this increases how much data Scout can analyze from roughly 1,000 rows to 250,000 rows. The second adds admin controls over who can use Scout Chat and Scout Agents, using role-based permissions with independent View and Edit levels.

The details

  • Scout Sandbox is live for all Scout users as of June 17, 2026.
  • The company says analysis capacity rose from roughly 1,000 rows to 250,000 rows.
  • Sandbox runs code directly against datasets such as full account journeys and large exports.
  • Admins can set View or Edit access separately for Scout Chat and Scout Agents.
  • June 16, 2026: Scout Assistant and Agents credit limits increased five times, according to the release notes.

Context

GTM Tech News covered Factors.ai's July 2026 addition of Scout Routines and an AI planner for research agents, and its September 2026 Scout feature for field-level campaign changes. The June sandbox and access controls came between those releases and shortly after Scout chat sharing and the hosted MCP server, both released on June 9, 2026.

Not disclosed

  • Whether Sandbox runs consume more AI credits than standard Scout queries
  • Which programming environment the sandbox uses
  • Data retention for datasets analyzed in the sandbox
