Factors.ai adds Scout Routines and an AI planner for research agents
Factors.ai released Routines in beta for scheduled reports and alerts from natural-language instructions, plus an AI planner for Account Research Agents.
Factors.ai added Routines in beta to Scout, its AI analysis assistant, on July 14, 2026. Routines turn natural-language instructions into scheduled reports or condition-based alerts delivered to Slack, email or an API, and launch with more than 20 ready-to-use instructions. The same day, Factors.ai added an AI planner to its Account Research Agents that selects matching events and properties from a plain-language description, updates as instructions change and never overrides manual selections.
The details
- On July 13, Web Research for Account Research Agents moved to Exa Search.
- A new Deep Web Research tool reads full pages and specialized sources to surface hiring changes, funding rounds and company initiatives.
- On June 26, Factors.ai added a model selector that lets agent builders pick a model per task.
- Scout Routines remain in beta.
Context
The July releases continued agent work that Factors.ai documented through mid-2026. In June it made its MCP server available as a hosted URL and shipped the first version of its multi-touch attribution Influence model, and on June 20 its app was listed on the HubSpot Marketplace. On July 31 the company released beta widgets that bring account timelines and research agents into Salesforce and HubSpot records, followed by a weekly Scheduled CRM Sync to Salesforce in early August.
