Clay made Clay Sequencer generally available on September 1, 2026. The cold outbound email tool is built on Clay Audiences and combines lead sourcing, enrichment and sequencing. Users can buy alternative domains and Google or Outlook inboxes with Clay credits, and Clay handles inbox warm-up and deliverability setup. Sequencer is available on Launch, Growth and Enterprise plans, and legacy Starter, Explorer and Pro customers can try it through the end of the year.

The details

  • Lists can come from Audiences filters or Clay's database of more than 800 million people, with eligibility checked at send time.
  • AI snippets fill chosen fields inside user templates using data from more than 200 providers, and fields can be marked required.
  • Each rep gets a permissioned inbox, and Claygents can draft replies for rep approval in Slack.
  • Sends, replies and bounces sync back to Audiences, and lead activity is available through Clay's MCP.
  • Clay advises about three weeks of warm-up before sending at full volume.

Context

Sequencer builds on Clay Audiences, which launched in June with unlimited people and company search. Our coverage also records Clay MCP general availability in July and the August Workflows beta, which Sequencer uses for enrichment. Eight days after this launch Clay raised a $115 million Series D, and in October it previewed agent-led building and an Inbound SDR Agent at Sculpt 2026. Clay says self-learning agents that use Sequencer data are in development.

Not disclosed

  • Credit cost per domain, inbox or email sent
