What we are seeing
Microsoft announced the new Copilot on September 25. Home combines Chat and Cowork, Code builds small apps, dashboards and automations using GitHub Copilot technology, and Autopilot is a cloud-hosted agent that works without prompting. Home and Code roll out first to the Frontier program, and Autopilot entered private preview at the end of September. Fabric IQ is generally available, and a plugin registry is rolling out. Licensing pairs a fixed user subscription covering Copilot in Chat and Office apps with usage-based billing in Copilot Credits for Cowork, Code, Autopilot and frontier models. Admins can set spending policies and control model families by user group. List prices are not given.
