Lusha adds company ownership fields and opens Data Waterfall to all paid plans
Lusha's API v2.16.0, released September 23, 2026, adds direct and ultimate parent company fields to enrichment and makes Data Waterfall available on every paid plan as a packaging change.
On September 23, 2026, Lusha published v2.16.0. Company enrichment and search-and-enrich endpoints accept directParent and ultimateParent in the reveal array, and both appear in the canReveal list on company search so customers can check availability before paying. The fields return null when a company is independent or is itself the ultimate parent. The release also changes packaging so Data Waterfall, which falls back to third-party providers when Lusha has no match, is available on all paid plans. The entry also corrects documentation for lookalike seed requirements.
The details
- Ownership fields are charged one credit per field when non-null.
- For a company with one level of ownership, ultimateParent matches directParent.
- Ownership data is company-level and contains no personal information, according to Lusha.
- Data Waterfall is available on every paid plan; it is still enabled per account under Account Settings, Waterfall.
- There is no API change associated with the Data Waterfall packaging update.
Context
Lusha introduced waterfall enrichment for contacts on July 27, 2026 and made it asynchronous in v2.17.0 on October 5, 2026, both covered by ForgeX Research. The September 23 packaging change sits between those releases. Lusha also added company social links and open job postings to enrichment in August and September 2026.
