Google previews Data Cloud connectors for querying BigQuery and Looker in Gemini
Google released Data Cloud connectors in preview, letting business users query live BigQuery, Looker and Google Cloud database data in plain language from Gemini. Queries run under each user's own credentials.

What we are seeing
Google described the Data Cloud connectors in a November 6 post. Users ask a question in their Gemini workspace, Knowledge Catalog maps business terms to tables, and Gemini generates and runs SQL through the connector with row and column permissions enforced. Sources include BigQuery, Looker, Cloud SQL, Spanner and AlloyDB, with data queried in place rather than copied. Results can move into Docs, Gmail drafts and Slides. Admins set default read-only connections in the Gemini admin console and can assign a BigQuery billing project. Google says the connectors remove the need to deploy custom MCP middleware. The connectors are in preview, and plan tiers and pricing are not stated.
