G2 announced a set of releases on March 25, 2026, in a post by Chief Product and Technology Officer Alexis Zheng. A new MCP server lets AI search platforms and assistants reference G2 reviews, research behavior and competitive insights, with Claude as the first integration. G2 integrated Verified on LinkedIn into its review moderation workflow to confirm reviewer identity, employer and education. It also added structured category FAQs, guided discussion prompts and a focused feature list in reviews. Expanded G2 Intelligence adds Competitive Pulse, AEO traffic insights, expanded Buyer Intent signals, and spend and contract intelligence.
The details
- G2 reports more than 100,000 reviews from buyers verified on LinkedIn, a 40% reduction in review rejection rates and a 13-point increase in approval rates.
- Moderation efficiency improved 25%, according to G2.
- Competitive Pulse combines CRM opportunity data, buyer intent and competitor research behavior, and includes Churn Threats when customers increase engagement with competitors on G2.
- AEO traffic insights measure engagement coming from AI-generated answers and conversational search.
- Spend and contract intelligence draws on more than $100 billion in SaaS purchasing agreements.
Context
This release came about seven weeks after G2 named Alexis Zheng chief product and technology officer (February 3, 2026). G2 later added verified SaaS spend and contract data to Data Solutions (May 21, 2026), launched an Intent Studio beta (June 17, 2026), brought data to the Data agent in ChatGPT Work (September 10, 2026) and became a Snowflake data partner (October 12, 2026).
