Zuddl adds OCR badge scanning, registration file uploads and self-cancellation

Zuddl listed its April 2026 updates on its product updates page and in an April Product Pulse post. The three main features are third-party badge scanning via OCR, file uploads in registration forms and self-service registration cancellation. The post also lists improvements to Slack notifications, studio network checks, HubSpot setup, CSV imports and Salesforce campaign selection. Zuddl notes limits on each main feature, such as online-only scanning and non-ticketed cancellation.
The details
- OCR badge scanning matches scans to field event registrations or pre-fills a walk-in form.
- Badge scanning works in online mode only; kiosk and offline support are in progress.
- File upload fields accept JPG, PNG or PDF with size limits from 1 MB to 10 MB.
- Self-cancellation is available only for non-ticketed flows.
- With AI enabled, CSV headers are auto-mapped, with uncertain fields flagged for review.
Context
Zuddl added coupon-based bundle discounts and on-demand webinar pages in March 2026. In July 2026 it added automatic Salesforce campaigns, speaker clips and Avalara tax, and in August 2026 it released an agent for Slack and Microsoft Teams that can approve or reject pending registrations, extending the Slack approvals listed here.
