Storylane's changelog entry for August 12, 2026 introduced an MCP server and multi-language demos. Through the MCP connection, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP-compatible client can analyze demo performance and account engagement, create and personalize demos, manage share links and publish demos. Multi-language demos let teams add AI-translated language versions of a demo, review the translations in context and let viewers switch languages in the player. The release also added a unified play bar for media controls.
The details
- MCP setup takes three steps: copy the server URL, add it to an AI client as a custom connector, then sign in to Storylane and approve access.
- Through MCP, users can create demos from screenshots or screen recordings and generate trackable share links.
- Multi-language demos are available on the Premium plan and above by request through a customer success manager.
- Each language version gets an AI voice, and a sync option updates translations after the source demo changes.
- The unified play bar groups play, pause, scrub, mute and duration controls and appears automatically on steps with video, voiceover or avatar content.
Context
The August release followed Storylane's July 15 changelog, which added AI editing for HTML demos and a tool that converts videos or images into demos. Later entries continued the AI work: in September the company's AI Hub began applying sender branding and prospect logos automatically, and in October it added Ask AI for plain-language questions about demo analytics. Navattic, another interactive demo vendor, listed a Launchpad MCP for creating share links from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor in its June 2026 changelog.
