Storylane adds Ask AI for plain-language questions on demo analytics

Storylane's October 22 release added an Ask AI interface for demo data, domain-based workspace auto-join and font color controls.

Storylane's changelog entry for October 22, 2026 lists Ask AI, a feature that answers plain-language questions about demo analytics. Users can ask about leads, accounts, demo performance and visitor behavior without building filters, and the company says answers arrive in seconds. The same entry adds auto-join for verified company email domains and custom font colors for guides and themes. A heading for AI credits also appears in the entry, but the text beneath it repeats the auto-join description.

The details

  • Example prompts in the changelog include requests for leads captured in the last 7 days and the accounts with the most engagement.
  • Users can start a new chat for each question or choose from suggested prompts.
  • With auto-join enabled, people who sign up with a verified company domain are prompted to join the existing workspace as Viewers on a free seat.
  • Viewers can browse demos and leave comments but cannot create or edit, and they can request a paid seat from an admin.
  • Custom font colors can be set per guide step or globally in theme settings, covering hotspots, tooltips, modals, chapter menus, convert CTAs and the nav bar.

Context

This is the fourth Storylane product update in our coverage since July 2026. In July the company added AI editing for HTML demos and video-to-demo conversion, in August it released an MCP server and multi-language demos, and in September its AI Hub began applying sender branding and prospect logos automatically. Ask AI moves AI features from demo creation into the analytics side of the product. The October changelog describes the feature with the line "Ask questions. Get answers. Skip the dashboard."
