Storylane adds pinned demo comments and AI document export
Storylane's June 12, 2026 release adds pinned comment threads on demo steps, an AI-assisted export that turns demos into editable documents in PDF, Word or Markdown, a voiceover side panel, bulk screen editing and personalization tokens in CTAs.

On June 12, 2026, Storylane published a release covering several weeks of work. The two largest items are pinned comments on demo steps and AI document export. Comments are tied to screen positions and notify the demo owner and thread participants by email. Document export creates an editable document from a demo, with AI rewriting and options to include voiceover or avatar transcripts. The release also changed voiceover editing, editor theming, bulk screen edits, presenter notes, CTA personalization and the desktop app.
The details
- Comments pin to a screen position, support replies and resolve or reopen, and send email links to the exact step.
- Comments are for team members only; Storylane says free external reviewer access is coming.
- AI document export outputs PDF, Word, Markdown or copy with images, and can sync changes from the demo.
- The voiceover editor became a side panel that can generate across all steps and apply Conversational, Casual or Professional tones.
- Personalization tokens such as first name, company, industry and region can be used in CTA buttons.
Context
Storylane added a one-click demo-to-PDF or document option on February 28, 2026, and this release expands it with AI editing and more export formats. Presenter mode moved into Share on March 21, 2026. On July 15, 2026, Storylane added AI editing for HTML demos and video-to-demo conversion, and on September 28, 2026 it added AI voice clones.
