Navattic lets Ask Navattic act in the workspace and opens capture editing betas
Navattic's August 2026 changelog says its Ask Navattic assistant can now plan multi-step tasks and make changes in a workspace, and opens betas for Copilot capture editing and inline capture editing.
Navattic's August 2026 product updates extend Ask Navattic, the in-app assistant added in July, from answering questions to taking actions. According to the changelog, users can bring workspace items into a conversation with @-mentions, and the assistant can plan and run multi-step tasks, highlight elements on screen and edit flows, with a confirmation step before deletions. Navattic also opened betas for Copilot capture editing and inline capture editing, both requested by emailing support, and updated avatars for Navattic Agents. The invisible step type was renamed Capture only without a change in behavior.
The details
- Ask Navattic can rename demos and edit flows directly, pausing to confirm before it deletes or removes anything.
- Copilot capture edit is in beta for Base plan customers and above; access is requested through support@navattic.com.
- Inline capture editing is in beta for web captures, with customers able to opt in for web, media or both capture types.
- Navattic Agent avatars offer Dynamic, Fixed and Full screen positioning, and visitors can toggle the avatar on and off.
Context
Navattic introduced Navattic Agents in March 2026 and added the AskNavattic assistant and embeddable agents in July 2026. The August release turns that assistant into one that can change workspace content. Copilot capture editing moved from this beta to general availability on Base plans and above in September 2026, the same month Navattic introduced The Brain.
