Livestorm introduced Live Translations for webinars, building on its existing Live Captions feature.

Livestorm published a post on May 21, 2026 introducing Live Translations for its webinars, written by Olivier Thomas. The company presents the feature as a continuation of Live Captions, which it built to show real-time captions in the browser without downloads or third-party tools. Live Translations converts spoken audio into text in the attendee's language during the session. Livestorm says it shows the speaker's name and avatar next to the translated text, and attendees can scroll back a few seconds to catch up without missing what is happening live. The post names Live Interpretation as a later step.
The details
- Speaker attribution (name and avatar) appears alongside translated text for multi-speaker sessions.
- Attendees can scroll back through recent translated text during a live session.
- Example scenarios in the post include a prospect in Warsaw at an English product demo and a customer in Sao Paulo following a training session.
- Livestorm describes native Live Interpretation as a future direction, without a date.
Context
This feature followed Livestorm's February 2026 MCP server for webinar data and its March recognition in HubSpot's Technology Partner Program. About two weeks later, on June 2, Livestorm announced the acquisition of AI clipping company Qlip and an AI Studio. Our later coverage includes a verified connector listing in Claude's directory in August and a redesigned Room and chat across all plans in October.
