Gong announced Mission Big Dipper on June 24, 2026, introducing the Gong Revenue Harness, which it describes as a layer that governs, orchestrates and connects AI agents across the revenue cycle. Its newest capability, Custom Agents, lets RevOps leaders and sales managers build and deploy agents from natural-language descriptions without engineering help. Agents inherit Gong's security permissions and include scoped data access, a full audit trail and configurable human oversight.
The details
- Custom Agents, AI Builder in Gong Assistant, the standalone Gong Assistant workspace, AI Coach and AI Builder for Scorecards became generally available in June 2026.
- Gong Assistant in Account Console and Dry Run role-play rehearsals were expected in July 2026.
- Further Custom Agents capabilities roll out over the following months.
- AI Builder for Scorecards generates scorecards from top closed-won calls.
- Gong says it serves more than 5,000 companies.
Context
Gong names its release cycles as missions, and Big Dipper follows its earlier Agent Studio and MCP support, which the release describes as the basis for the harness. In September 2026, at its Celebrate '26 event, Gong launched Gong Enrich data enrichment under Mission Callisto and previewed Gong Activate always-on agents. Chief Product Officer Eilon Reshef said "Almost none of them are moving the number with it," referring to revenue leaders' use of AI.
