What we are seeing
DeepSeek's API change log for September 10 records the release of DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash, the smallest model in its new architecture family, with native multimodal visual understanding. The deepseek-flash model name now points to it, and the earlier V4 Flash and V4 Flash Vision Exp models were retired, with legacy names routed to the new model and billed at the Flash price. DeepSeek says API prices were reduced and that V4 Pro API service continues after September 14, 2026. The change log does not list the new rates on that page; they appear on the Models and Pricing page. No enterprise-specific terms are mentioned.
