Cvent announces more than 70 product updates and $1 billion R&D plan at CONNECT

At Cvent CONNECT 2026, Cvent announced more than 70 product innovations, including 34 new AI capabilities, and a multi-year $1 billion product development investment. Items range from available now to expected by end of 2026.

Cvent CEO Reggie Aggarwal announced a planned multi-year, $1 billion product development investment at Cvent CONNECT 2026 in Nashville on July 14, 2026. The company announced more than 70 product innovations and previewed 34 new AI capabilities, each live, in beta or expected by the end of 2026. They include CventIQ Skills, task packages that let AI agents in Salesforce Agentforce, Claude or ChatGPT run event workflows, and an expanded Cvent Assistant for planners.

The details

  • CventIQ Skills are expected in Q3 2026.
  • Cvent Assistant adds event creation, venue recommendations, attendee management and insights and benchmarking in Q3 2026, with a Program Knowledge Base in Q4 2026.
  • For marketers, the Attendee AI Assistant and Network Builder, which matches attendees and drafts introductions, are available now.
  • Warm Introductions and Exhibitor Recommendations are in beta.
  • Goldcast adds Content Lab, on-demand video hubs and Recording Studio, with a Highlight Reel generator to come, and ON24 adds AI multilingual delivery across 34 languages.
  • Cvent says it has nearly 2,000 engineers, and the event drew nearly 5,000 in-person attendees.

Context

Cvent now sells three event and webinar product lines: its core event platform, Goldcast for content-focused B2B webinar programs, and ON24 for enterprise-scale programs. The CONNECT release describes both acquired products' roles and new features. Goldcast continued shipping after the event, adding dynamic stage layouts in August and automatic branding for AI-generated clips in September. RainFocus, a competing event platform, announced MCP Profiles for AI agent access to event data the week before CONNECT.
