What we are seeing
Cohere announced Parse on August 27 for enterprises with high-volume document work such as claims, contracts and invoices, and for teams building retrieval and search. The vision-language model converts documents into Markdown, handles tables, forms, diagrams and images, returns bounding boxes for visual elements and supports nine languages. It is part of Cohere's Compass stack with Embed and Rerank. Parse is generally available through the Cohere API, Model Vault, Microsoft Foundry and AWS SageMaker, with a trial on Hugging Face. API pricing is $1.50 per 1,000 pages, and Cohere says Model Vault lowers per-page cost for sustained volume.
